Job Description
Execute and enforce established data processes related to tracking additions and changes to objects stored in the data warehouse. Responsibilities include adding attributes, proper naming conventions, and tracking lineage from source systems through different stages in the data warehouse.
Communicate regularly with users and developers, possess knowledge of various aspects of data warehouses and contributing systems, and identify governance issues where standards should be applied. Prior system-specific knowledge is not required, but experience with multiple systems, especially those connected via ETL and databases, is essential.
Maintain existing processes by updating and managing current procedures.
Collaborate with stakeholders (business, O&S, compliance, etc.) to gather requirements, develop new processes, and implement data governance controls.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to educate and advise stakeholders on best practices.
Implement data policies and standards to ensure data quality and compliance.
Qualifications
Experience in a financial services environment or advising financial services companies.
Proven experience designing and implementing data quality and governance solutions, including platforms and supporting processes.
Knowledge of technical architecture, middleware, databases, reporting tools, and financial systems architecture.
Experience through all phases of the technology lifecycle : requirements gathering, data architecture design, conversion, and testing.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
Ability to research emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
Excellent problem-solving, quantitative skills, and a strong work ethic. Self-driven team player capable of working independently.
Some travel to various office locations may be required.
