Mechanical Assemblers
Join our team in building large custom water purification systems, designed for a variety of essential sectors including mines, nuclear plants, sports stadiums, and large commercial buildings. This role is dynamic and varies from week to week, as you will be working on diverse projects in an air-conditioned environment.
Responsibilities :
Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine the size and type of material needed.
Configure items for proper fitment.
Bolt, glue, screw, or otherwise fasten parts together.
Fabricate according to specifications, drawings, and / or verbal direction.
Operate machines required for assembling parts.
Test fitment of parts and modify pieces as necessary.
Measure, cut, and fasten plumbing materials such as PVC, stainless steel, copper pipe, or other galvanized materials.
Fasten and secure customized production material onto custom frames.
Test equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Assist with preparing systems and loose equipment for shipment.
Help with receiving material and items, following proper procedures.
Organize production parts and inventory according to established practices and procedures.
Participate in cross-training activities to assist in other areas of production when needed.
Essential Skills :
6 months to 1+ year of experience with a tape measure, able to read in inches and centimeters.
6 months to 1+ year of experience with hand and power tools (screwdriver, drill, wrench).
6 months+ mechanical assembly or construction experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications :
PVC Pipe Fitting experience is a plus.
Ability to cut and use a saw.
Able to read blueprints.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Fabricating experience is beneficial but not necessary.
Plumbing experience is a nice to have.

Work Environment :
Work in a large new production shop with a spacious assembly area, and small wiring and welding areas. The environment is very relaxed; simply communicate if you need a day off.

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
