Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Engineer to join a high-performing team and support critical data initiatives. This role is essential in clearing a backlog of projects and ensuring continuity during team transitions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and a self-starting mindset to drive data engineering efforts forward.

As a Data Engineer, you will design and maintain ETL pipelines, support server and database migrations, and contribute to rebuilding foundational data infrastructure. You'll work closely with a small team of engineers, collaborating on solutions and providing light leadership while engaging with senior technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SQL, SSIS, and Python.
• Support data engineering projects including server migrations and rebuilding data pools.
• Migrate on-prem SQL Server databases into production environments.
• Troubleshoot system dependencies and ensure seamless data transitions.
• Collaborate with local and remote engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and proactively drive tasks to completion.
• Engage with senior technical leads to align on architecture and implementation strategies.

Key Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in data engineering with strong proficiency in SQL, SSIS, and Python.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Snowflake and cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results with minimal oversight.
