Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and an active license for a mix of inpatient and outpatient therapy at a Level 2 trauma center.
Responsibilities
Position is based in an acute care setting with both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy componentsPatients treated per day range from 8 to 14, including a mix of evaluations and treatmentsCommon diagnoses include post-surgical orthopedics, neurological cases, chronic pain, back / neck radiculopathy, and pediatricsPrimary coverage is outpatient therapy, with occasional weekend acute inpatient rotationWork schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm, with every 6th Saturday required and a compensatory day off during the weekEpic EMR is used for documentation; experience with Epic is preferredBusiness casual dress code with black, khaki, or gray attire; scrubs are permitted in specified colorsLevel 2 trauma environmentResponsibilities include providing evaluations and treatments to a varied patient population in both outpatient and acute inpatient settingsTeam includes a manager, lead therapist, 1 tech, 3 PTAs, and 1 PRN PTADepartment-specific orientation providedHoliday coverage is required for this roleNegative drug screen for all panels required before employmentCOVID-19 vaccination is not required for this assignmentLocal rates apply for clinicians with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facilityNo radius rule restricts local candidate eligibilityRequirements
