Associate Director, Clinical Operations - CTA / CTS Management

Overview

The Associate Director, Clinical Operations will lead and manage a team of Clinical Trial Associates and Specialists (CTAs and CTSs) responsible for the administrative support of the planning, execution, and close-out of clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas (TAs). This individual will serve as a strategic and operational leader within Clinical Operations, ensuring adequate resourcing of FTEs and FSPs, cross-TA collaboration, and talent development.

This role requires a strong foundation in clinical trial execution, GCP compliance, resource planning and management, and FSP vendor management.

This position is hybrid and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Directly manage and mentor a team of CTAs and CTSs, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Set team goals and individual development plans aligned with EA and corporate objectives.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and support career progression.
• Assess, plan and manage resourcing, and alignment across clinical programs.
• Idenitify training needs for CTA / CTS roles and create and implement onboarding plan.
• Establish strong relationship with FSP provider to manage resource availability, create accurate resource forecasting, with the ability to scale up and down according to study needs.
• Create a positive culture, imbedding CTA / CTS in Alnylam culture and values, and maintaining low turn-over rates.

U.S. Pay Range

$166,700.00 - $225,500.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
