Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our Molecular-based Discovery group. The successful candidate will support microbial gene editing and gene discovery efforts, playing a vital role in advancing our research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day lab activities, including media preparation, microbe culturing, seed planting, and plant care within growth chambers.
• Assist with CRISPR / Cas-mediated gene editing, including timely colony selection and transfer.
• Perform nucleic acid (DNA / RNA) extractions, PCR, and analyze products via gel electrophoresis.
• Conduct disease bioassays, collect and analyze data, and report results to management.
• Maintain clean, organized, and orderly laboratory spaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Record experimental data meticulously, follow lab protocols, manage workflows, and accurately collect, analyze, and report data in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
• Collaborate and work effectively within multicultural and interdisciplinary teams.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
