About The Position

License : ME State license required

Certifications : BLS, ARRT (R) (CT) required

Must-Have :

• CTA studies experience
• IV start skills preferred
• Biopsy experience preferred
• Experience with Siemens equipment preferred

Description :

A start date is needed for December 9.

Manager interviews will be conducted.

This is a Level II Trauma Center that receives air flights and serves a significant portion of the state.

The facility is also a certified stroke center and has 411 beds.

The imaging rooms are equipped with Siemens Edge, Siemens Force, and Siemens Definition scanners.

Medrad injectors are utilized in the department.

Travelers with one year of experience are welcome, although more experience is preferred.

First-time travelers will also be accepted.

Patient types include adults, geriatrics, and some pediatric / neonate cases.

Care areas include emergency department, outpatient, and inpatient.

Common outpatient conditions include oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, and trauma cases.

Biopsies may be performed, training will be provided if needed.

The average number of scans conducted per day is 25-30.

Support on the unit includes a lead technologist and multiple CT techs scheduled for each shift.

Internal transport is available, and a radiologist is present on-site.

The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner, and PACS is Enterprise Imaging AGFA.

There is a weekend rotation based on staffing needs, and holiday work is done in rotation with other techs.

Scheduling is done on a 4-week basis.

Scrub color is flexible, as long as it is solid and professional.
