2nd Shift Available : 6pm-6 : 30am, on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Job purpose / summary / objective

Ensures all work is carried out in a safe and orderly manner. Complies with protocols and documentation as related to OSHA and food safety. Provide technical knowledge and service, install, and maintain the electrical / mechanical needs of the plant. Performs preventive maintenance on plant equipment to keep in good running order. Troubleshoot problems, recommend, and perform mechanical repairs to minimize downtime. Work collaboratively with Operations Team to share knowledge and contribute to a Continuous Improvement environment. Protect the company's investment in machinery and equipment by exercising proper care, skill and knowledge in the use of Company investments.

General Knowledge and Skills

• Familiarity of CMMS for completion of work orders, maintaining records of repairs, calibrations, and tests
• Utilize technical materials such as equipment manuals, SDS, safety materials, system drawings, process, and instrument Diagrams (P&ID's), schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and maintain systems
• Read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings and sketches to determine problem and make appropriate repairs
• Performs all duties in compliance with plant rules and practices safety, conduct, sanitation, and good housekeeping
• Capable to work from ladders, and scaffolding in a safe manner
• Capable of operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) (fork truck, aerial lift, etc.) Willing to be certified through Bright Farms Training
• Work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment

Working conditions / Environment / Travel / Schedule required

Greenhouse / Outside / Coolers / Office. Maintenance will have exposure to seasonal conditions which may range from extreme heat and humidity in the summer to cold in the winter. Work near moving mechanical parts including in the vicinity of occasional high noise environments is required.

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees are expected to sometimes use hands to finger, handle or feel. Frequently standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing. The lifting requirements to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The employee should have clear correctable vision at close and distance range, as well as peripheral vision to notice safety hazards.
