Location : Nashville, Tennessee (with occasional travel to project sites)

Salary Range : $85,000 - $120,000

I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established general contractor based in Tennessee, specializing in a diverse range of project types, including retail, restaurant, and commercial construction. This company focuses primarily on ground-up projects ranging from $1M to $10M. They are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team and contribute to the accurate estimating and successful execution of their varied and exciting projects.

Job Description :

As an Estimator , you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase of each project, providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for retail, restaurant, and commercial ground-up projects. You will be responsible for reviewing project plans, preparing bid proposals, and working closely with project teams to ensure each project is bid competitively and accurately. This is a hands-on role requiring strong construction knowledge, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and construction documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed estimates for all phases of construction, including materials, labor, subcontractors, and equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and project information.
• Create comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring all scope items are clearly outlined and accurately priced.
• Perform value engineering and suggest cost-effective alternatives when necessary.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing.
• Monitor project budgets throughout the life cycle of each project and provide updates or adjustments as required.
• Review and reconcile estimates with actual project costs once projects are completed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, construction methods, and material costs to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
