Pay Information

$2,840 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist

Profession : Clinical Professional

Specialty : Cardiac Ultrasound

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Monday-Friday

Hours per Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Experience : Six months of related experience

License : Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Certifications : BLS

Must-Have :

High School diploma or GED

Ability to work independently

Ability to utilize critical thinking skills

Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare staff regarding Cardiac Ultrasound results

Ability to serve in on-call rotation after regular business hours

Description :

Responsible for diagnostic cardiac or vascular ultrasound.

Provides accurate images of cardiac structures for diagnosis.

Delivers immediate feedback with preliminary reports of critical results to nurses and physicians.

Assists in complex procedures to decrease potential associated procedural risks.

Demonstrates correct technique, efficiency, and judgment in performing advanced procedures.

Performs adult and / or pediatric cardiac ultrasound procedures including TEE and stress echo.

Utilizes equipment necessary to perform required procedures and obtain optimal diagnostic recordings.

Exercises appropriate judgment in notifying physicians of abnormal results.

Maintains proper documentation of data according to departmental policies.

Documents all procedures accurately in the departmental tracking process.

Anticipates needs in equipment and supplies to assist in cost containment.

Collaborates in maintaining departmental efficiency.

Participates in departmental quality assurance processes and accreditation.

Maintains compliance with mandatory education standards.

Practices infection control and promotes safety for patients, visitors, and personnel.

Maintains confidentiality of patient and corporate information.

Works directly with patients and healthcare professionals.

Coordinates activities with healthcare team members.

Modifies behavior and performance to meet changing departmental goals.

Maintains a clean environment and complies with all policies.
