Job Summary :

The CAD Drafter and Document Control professional creates and maintains technical drawings and 3D models, develops manufacturing procedures, and manages documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and collaborates effectively in a fast-paced environment to support quality and innovation.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Drafting and Design :

Create 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD.

  • Ensure drawings meet design and industry standards.
  • Manufacturing Procedures :
  • Develop clear manufacturing procedures for production.

  • Align procedures with design and quality standards.
  • Document Control :
  • Maintain and organize drawings and specifications.

  • Ensure version control and regulatory compliance.
  • Update drawings to reflect design changes.
  • Collaboration and Quality Assurance :
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve discrepancies.

  • Verify drawings for accuracy and standards.
  • Data Management and Improvement :
  • Archive documentation per company policies.

  • Streamline drafting and document control processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Fusion 360).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technical documentation standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC, ASME, or ISO is preferred.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Associate’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of experience as a CAD Drafter in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience in the electronics or circuit manufacturing industry is desirable.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
