Pipe Yard Helper – $15 / hr +$1 Shift Differential

This is a contract position with an opportunity to be hired full time.

Integrity Trade Services is seeking a Pipe Yard Helper for our partner, a leading distributor of Carbon and Stainless Pipe, Fittings, and Flanges. This position involves hands-on work with pipes and includes assisting with loading, unloading, and maintaining inventory in the yard. Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!

Shift :  2 : 30pm to 11pm

Job Summary

The Pipe Yard Helper plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations by assisting forklift operators, verifying product details, and maintaining a safe, organized yard. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

Pipe Handling : Follow verbal and hand signal instructions to identify and move pipes within the yard.

Product Verification : Verify heat numbers, quantities, and ensure proper chocking of pipes to prevent movement.

Secure Shipments : Install strapping, bracing, and padding to protect pipes during transit.

Surface Preparation : Perform tasks such as painting, stenciling, sandblasting, and coating pipes.

Safety Compliance : Observe all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Cross-Training : Be prepared to learn and assist in other work areas as needed.

Housekeeping : Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas.

Qualifications

Work Experience : Stable history, preferably in an industrial or pipe-related environment.

Flexibility : Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed (average 50-hour workweek).

Transportation : Reliable means of getting to and from the worksite.

Commitment to Safety : Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols and operational policies.

Team-Oriented : Positive attitude and a collaborative work ethic.

Compliance : Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

Lift and stack objects weighing up to 50 lbs.; frequently exert 10–20 lbs. of force to move objects.

Stand, walk, kneel, and reach for long periods; occasional climbing of ladders or staircases.

Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
