Maintenance Technician

Bericap is a privately held family-owned company founded in 1926, and is one of the leading manufacturers of plastic closures for food, beverage and industrial markets. As a result of continued growth Bericap SC, LLC has a full-time, hourly openings for Maintenance Technicians reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

The Maintenance Technicians are responsible supporting all departments in maintaining and optimizing all equipment to get the best production results. Respond to calls in a timely manner to resolve issues with equipment and support production.

General Responsibilities

• Ensures that all work undertaken is carried out safely and without injury
• Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed at all times (no jewelry, cell phone, nicotine inany form, etc.)
• Ensures that all food safety issues are reported to the appropriate manager or supervisor
• Housekeeping duties performed throughout the shift
• Ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted and while standing / walking for duration of shift
• Develop, implement, and support Continuous Improvements Programs
• Initiates corrective action for non-conformances
• Identify Opportunities for Improvement and enter into See It, Sort It, Report It system
• Able and willing to wear appropriate PPE as required
• Duties as assigned per Maintenance Manage
