Santa Barbara Women's Imaging Center (SBWIC) is a sister company of Pueblo Radiology, and was designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

About the Role

We’re currently seeking a skilled Mammography Technician – Full-time to join our growing practice and help us continue providing exceptional breast imaging services.

Position Overview

As a Mammography Technician in our private practice, you’ll play a key role in early detection and diagnosis of breast conditions. You’ll work closely with radiologists and support staff to ensure seamless patient experiences and accurate imaging results. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, boutique setting and values patient relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dedication and commitment to high quality patient care
  • Must be a team player and follow established departmental procedures
  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms using state-of-the-art equipment
  • Provide personalized care and clear communication to patients, ensuring comfort and trust throughout the procedure
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control, HIPAA, OSHA and radiation safety protocols
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and assist with quality assurance procedures
  • Accurately document patient information and imaging data in our RIS and PACS systems
  • Collaborate with radiologists to ensure timely and accurate interpretation of images
  • Assist with scheduling, patient prep, and follow-up coordination as needed

Qualifications

  • Eight-hour class in 3D mammography
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and Mammography
  • Valid California Radiologic Technologist & Mammography licenses
  • Minimum 1 year of diagnostic experience in mammography
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, professional demeanor
  • Familiarity with digital mammography and PACS systems
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
