Buck Company LLC is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Technician to become a key member of our team in Quarryville, PA! As a Lab Technician, you will be crucial in supporting our manufacturing operations by performing analytical testing and maintaining quality documentation.

What You'll Do :

• Perform meticulous preparation of metal samples (cutting, grinding, polishing) for various tests.
• Operate and maintain Optical Emission Spectrometers (OES) and other analytical equipment to determine the chemical composition of raw materials and finished castings.
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration checks on all lab equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Execute Tensile and Hardness Tests (e.g., Brinell, Rockwell) on cast metal samples to confirm mechanical properties meet specifications.
• Record, analyze, and interpret test results, promptly reporting any deviations or non-conformances to the Quality and Production teams.
• Perform microscopic evaluation of metal structure to assess nodularity and metallographic structure.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests, analyses, and material certifications.
• Assist in maintaining the laboratory's quality management system, adhering to ISO 9001 standards and internal safety protocols.
• Support problem-solving initiatives related to material quality and process control.
