Job Title : Injection Molding Process Technician
Shift : 2nd Shift
Pay : $21-28 / hr. based on experience
Location : Spring Lake, MI
Position Summary :
Responsible for the efficient troubleshooting of injection molding production processes, focusing on minimizing waste, scrap, and rework. Success in this role is measured by reductions in scrap percentage, downtime due to processing issues, and improvements in cycle time against key performance standards.
Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoots and optimizes injection molding processes using scientific, data-driven methods.
- Identifies and resolves root causes of scrap, downtime, and process variation.
- Tracks and implements cycle time improvements to meet production efficiency goals.
- Responds to machine alarms and performs necessary adjustments to maintain uptime.
- Conducts process audits to ensure consistency with established standards and documentation.
- Trains and supports molding operators and technicians on best practices.
- Accurately records production and material data using manufacturing software systems.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Safely operates forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by supervision.
