Door Plant Manager - Door Shop (Building Materials)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and skilled Door Plant Manager to oversee our door manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong combination of technical expertise, operational management, and team leadership skills. The ideal candidate will guide our production team to deliver high-quality interior and exterior doors, frames, millwork, and hardware while maintaining efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development

Supervise, train, and mentor door shop personnel to foster a safe, collaborative, and productive work environment.

Plan and manage daily production activities to meet schedules, quality standards, and budget targets.

Implement quality control processes to ensure products exceed customer expectations.

Coordinate with sales and design teams to deliver products aligned with customer specifications.

Identify and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes.

Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and prepare performance reports to support informed decision-making.

Be adaptable and open to assisting with additional tasks as assigned to support the evolving needs of the door shop department and contribute to company objectives.

Expectations & Appearance

To represent Zarsky Lumber Co. professionally, all Managers are expected to adhere to our appearance and uniform standards. This includes wearing a Zarsky-branded collared shirt, tan or grey shorts or khakis, and a Zarsky-branded hat, with boots required for safety. Maintaining a clean, neat appearance and presenting a polished image to clients is essential.
