Substitute Bus Driver

School Bus Driver

Responsible to : Transportation Supervisor

General Duties :

To operate a school bus in a safe and efficient manner providing service to students that are assigned to the specific bus or trip.

Qualifications :

• Must have a CDL Class B
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Being physically qualified of the Administrative Code
• A semi-annual driver record check
• Being licensed as a school bus operator and follow all rules of the Ohio Rules of Transportation including annual participation in a minimum of 4 hours of in-service in school transportation-related training
• Physical capability of appropriately lifting and managing of handicapped pupils when necessary
• Possessing skills through in-service training related to the transportation of the handicapped
• A satisfactory criminal background report in accordance with the Revised Code
