Communicates with patients, participants and staff to accurately schedule patients for prescribed procedures. Performs clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration. Provides support and serves as a resource for other.
The value you'll bring to the team :
- Gathers necessary demographic, insurance, and clinical information from patients and enters it into the appropriate database.
- Seeks appropriate resources to resolve issues about the type, date, or location of prescribed procedures.
- Schedules patient procedures in a manner that most efficiently utilizes the patient's time and clinical resources.
- Coordinates and communicates schedules with patients and clinical staff.
- Assists with coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification and authorization.
- Provides counseling to patients, participants, or their representatives regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
- Ensures accurate and timely entry of patient information into the system.
- Communicates effectively with patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers to facilitate smooth scheduling and authorization processes.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of insurance requirements and pre-certification processes.
- Addresses and resolves any discrepancies or issues related to patient scheduling and insurance authorization.
- Supports the clinical team in managing patient flow and optimizing resource utilization.
- Other duties as assigned.
