Optometrist or Ophthalmologist - Lake Charles, LA

Are you an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist looking for a meaningful, flexible part‑time or full‑time opportunity? Join MRG Exams to conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA’s Strategic Health Assessment (SHA) program. This is a rewarding non‑treating, non‑determination role focused solely on assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Review Veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
  • Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Complete and submit evaluation forms via the web portal within 24 hours of the exam.

    • Qualifications

  • A licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.
  • Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Credentialed to meet the VA's requirements.

  • Skilled in analyzing medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports.
  • Exceptional in both written and oral communication.
  • Detail‑oriented and capable of submitting forms within required timelines.

    • Schedule : One fixed day per week.
