Colorado Warehouse Facilities / Maintenance Manager

Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Colorado Warehouse Project Manager in Brighton, Colorado. The primary objective of this role is to develop and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety rules and procedures, including the effective use of safety devices and equipment. The role also involves maintaining Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards throughout the warehouse and storage facilities, and assisting in the maintenance, sanitation, and overall cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding grounds. This is an exempt salaried position that reports to the Colorado Warehouse Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the operations manager and other departments to foster a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Oversee daily operations, including loading and unloading of bulk and box cars, equipment maintenance, building upkeep, groundskeeping, and administration.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures, and effective use of safety devices and equipment.
• Supervise employees involved in stacking, storing, and shipping sugar.
• Act as a replacement for the operations manager when necessary.
• Manage projects completed by third parties, ensuring adherence to budget, safety policies, and quality standards.
• Oversee in-house maintenance, providing preventative maintenance programs and necessary repairs.
• Generate purchase orders and work orders to document all repairs.
• Maintain SQF standards throughout the warehouse and storage facilities.
• Assist in the maintenance, sanitation, and overall cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding grounds.
• Support day-to-day operations of sugar distribution as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Travel required to all Colorado warehouse facilities.
• Ethical Behavior : Understand and ensure adherence to ethical behavior and business practices.
• Effective Communication : Communicate clearly, thoroughly, and timely using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, building and equipment maintenance, and standard safety practices.
• Ability to safely operate loading and unloading equipment.
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions in English, and interpret safety information and placards.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Basic computer skills.
