Job Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, while ensuring compliance with company policies and local / state / federal regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to effectively assess and identify patients' conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patients’ needs and their responses to the care received.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in decision-making for patient care management.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer prescribed medications and over-the-counter drugs as ordered.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Care Plans for all patients.
- Guide ancillary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.Exceptional communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving tools, with a demonstrated ability to apply these in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement efforts.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center, where your expertise and compassion can make a significant impact on our patients' lives.
