• Work 12-hour day shifts plus call responsibilities
• Mix of 8, 10, and 12-hour shift options available
• Call required approximately every 5-6 weekends
• Holiday call requirements
• Manager creates schedule 6 weeks at a time
• Must have experience in both preop / PACU and Phase II
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 3
• Float between preop, PACU, and Phase II departments
• Work with 25-bed unit providing Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care
• Handle cases including orthopedic, bariatric (laparoscopic and robotic), general surgery, urology, hand and feet procedures, spine cases, GYN procedures, and sports medicine
• Prepare patients for cath lab, interventional radiology, TEE, and radiology procedures
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Must pass open book exam with 90% score during orientation or face contract termination
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Driver's license required for submission to verify 50-mile radius compliance
• One week classroom orientation followed by one week department-specific training
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Facility : This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 25-bed PACU department providing both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery services.
