Job Purpose

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting department in day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This position will work ON-SITE at 2145 Metrocenter Blvd, Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations for cash, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Support accounts payable (A / P) and accounts receivable (A / R) functions as needed.
  • Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and financial reviews.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Review and verify expense reports, vendor invoices, and employee reimbursements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering and analyzing financial data.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper cost allocations and financial accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Preferred Experience :

  • Experience with bank reconciliations, accrual accounting, and journal entries.
  • Exposure to financial reporting or audit preparation.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other large ERP systems.

    The pay range for this role is :

    25 - 28 USD per hour(Metrocenter)
