Territory Manager

Medtronic is seeking an experienced Territory Manager to manage the territory base business and growth by promoting, selling, supporting Medtronic Diabetes products and services. The Territory Manager will report directly to their assigned District Manager. This is a field based position that will support our Los Angeles South Territory. This will cover Torrance, Beverly Hills, Inglewood, Redondo Beach, Hawthorne, Carson, and downtown Los Angeles. The expectation is to be in the field 5 days / week. This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. The Diabetes Operating Unit focuses on improving the lives of those within the global diabetes community. As a business, we strive to empower people with diabetes to live life on their terms by delivering innovation that truly matters and providing support in the ways they need it.

Responsibilities include conducting sales calls to promote, sell, and service Medtronic Diabetes products and services to existing and potential physicians and patients; implementing quarterly sales plans to achieve sales goals and objectives; collaborating with Clinical Territory Managers and Diabetes Clinical Educators to educate referral sources about intensive diabetes management and continuous glucose monitoring; working directly with patients, providing product and therapy technical support and service; managing territory fiscally by controlling expenses, product returns, and inventory; building and maintaining relationships with referral sources to establish a solid business base; participating in community organizations such as ADA, AADE, JDRF, and patient support groups to establish the company as a leader in diabetes products; coordinating daily support and customer activities at meetings as assigned; completing administrative reporting as required; utilizing approved sales collateral to support promotional and territorial needs; partnering with cross-functional teams and internal resources; promoting and selling Medtronic's Diabetes products and services within an assigned geographic area or customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets; developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and non-clinical buyers; pursuing leads, assessing needs, and providing product services to maximize the benefits of Medtronic's Diabetes products and services; promoting and establishing education on the company's products and services for physicians and accounts; conducting market research on customers and competitors; implementing market development plans and strategies, making changes as needed; and communicating customer feedback on new products or modifications to internal stakeholders like R&D, Operations, and Marketing.

Must have : minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree and minimum of three (3) years prior sales experience. Nice to have includes field sales experience highly preferred, prior medical device, business to business or pharmaceutical sales experience highly preferred, experience using Salesforce, prior inside sales or field clinical experience with Medtronic Diabetes, previous sales award recipient due to strong sales performance, and strong data analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.

Field roles must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application. Must be able to drive approximately 100% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel.
