POSITION PURPOSE
This role is responsible for driving growth and profitability within a defined customer portfolio by managing sales opportunities, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations. Acting as the “Voice of the Customer,” the position builds strong relationships, aligns internal resources, and ensures NEXPERA delivers value that meets customer needs and market demands.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to) :
- Understand market and pricing dynamics, industry and competitor trends impacting assigned customer portfolio.
- Manage a continually updated list of new opportunities (market growth and share growth).
- Coordinate RFPs / bids and direct sales opportunities to maximize margin across Nexpera’s product lines.
- Manage customer group pricing and monthly / quarterly adjustments.
- Run point on customers contracts from negotiating commercial terms, drafting documents, coordinating revisions with legal counsel to execution of the contracts and contract maintenance.
- Build, maintain and establish strong business relationships with current & prospective Nexpera customers at different levels and with strategic partners to enhance Nexpera competitive advantage
- Develop deep understanding of each customer; what drives their business, what are the strengths / weaknesses of their markets, how are their buying decisions made, who are the key decision makers & how does Nexpera meet each customer's “Needs and Wants”.
- Utilize strong interpersonal relationships with all internal functions and external clients through open communication, ethical behavior and collaboration to foster a positive environment of mutual support and respect.
- Stay current with customers, anticipate potential roadblocks to customer success.
- Manage internally the coordination of services to external customers from order taking to collections.
- Be the “Voice of the Customer” within Nexpera.
- Ensure the quality of all communications being sent to customers convey the proper Nexpera message into the marketplace.
- Manage conference schedules and coordinate Nexpera’s membership in certain industry groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required :
Education / Experience / Background
College Degree10 Years of experience in the Chemical Industry.Sales ExperienceKnowledge / Skills / Abilities
Proficient set of sales process & strategy skills. Ability to execute the sales process from Discovery, Prospect Evaluation, Relationship Management, Proposal Development and Delivery, Opportunity Closing, Contract Preparation / Approval and Execution of Ongoing Service.Strong interpersonal skills; make the customer comfortable and able to openly “dialogue” in a trusting environmentExcellent written communication skills; be able to carry a conversation in writing as easily as in person.Ability to multitask in a complicated multi-faceted business environment.Ability to process technical, legal and financial information to arrive at an attractive business proposition.Proficiency in use of CRM tools to manage key accounts, opportunities, sales campaigns and forecasting.Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.Incumbent must be able to manage assigned customers independently by internally networking to get support for key customer initiatives.Independent planning and execution skills; set personal goals that support organizational vision and objectives. Accepts responsibility and holds oneself accountable.Required Certification / Licenses / Training
