Position Overview

HumanEdge Health is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week travel assignment in Buffalo, Missouri. The SLP will provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in a long-term care or rehab setting.

Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans following regulatory and clinical practice standards

Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to guide clinical interventions

Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record

Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services as needed

Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers

Communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care

Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate patient records

Accurately document treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements

Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings

Attend facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and continuing education

Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements

Supervise and support CFY or student SLPs as needed

Adhere to ASHA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethical standards

Submission Requirements

Minimum 1 year SLP experience – Required

New grads accepted with Level II fieldwork experience

LTC or SNF experience – Required

MO State License – Required

CCC-certified SLP – Required

3 years experience holding active CCS – Preferred
