Job description

A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join their team in Charleston, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in family law and demonstrate a commitment to assisting clients through complex legal challenges.

Duties

  • Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.
  • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and stay informed on family law developments.
  • Attend court hearings and trials, presenting cases effectively.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients throughout the legal process.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and other legal staff for efficient case management.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the South Carolina state bar and in good standing.
  • 2-7 years of experience in family law litigation.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to clients.
