Must have a valid TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standings. Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care Unit (CCU)

Requirements

Experience : Minimum of 2 years total RN experience; at least 1 year in critical care

License : Active RN license (no pending licenses accepted) or Active Compact license

Certifications : ACLS and NIH Stroke Certification required

Unit Type : CCU (Critical Care)

Beds : 20

Patient Ratios : 2 : 1

Documentation System : Meditech

Equipment Used : GE monitors, Alaris pumps, Puritan Bennett ventilators

Procedures on Unit : Bedside central line placement, massive transfusion protocol

Advanced Skills Required : Management of arterial lines, venous / arterial sheaths, cardiovascular & vasopressor drips, and ventilated patients

Patient Care Expectations : Provide safe, skilled, and compassionate care to high-acuity patients

Scheduling Details

Schedule : 36 hours per week

Weekend Requirement : 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Floating Policy : Contract staff float before core staff

Support Staff : Unit secretary on days and nights; occasional tech assistance
