Tax Intern (Summer 2026) - Shelton, CT
The Hubbell Internship Program is a 10 to 12-week program providing students the opportunity to gain corporate experience, learn about all aspects of our business, and prepare students with the kind of experience needed to have a rewarding career at Hubbell.
The Tax Intern will report directly to the Senior Tax Manager and will have an opportunity to collaborate with all tax team members. The candidate needs to demonstrate curiosity, ability to think broadly, and willingness to learn new topics.
Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by :
- Assist with Q2 Income Tax provision calculations
- Assist with the Federal and International Income Tax compliance process including data gathering, review and completion of various tax computations
- Assist with calculating state tax credits
- Address and resolve in a timely manner various state income tax notices
- Assist with Sales and Use Tax Nexus study
- Conduct income tax research
- Assist with Transfer Pricing research and documentation
- Applying skills and knowledge learned in the classroom to on-the-job experiences.
- Working on comprehensive, value-added projects.
- Working in teams and with colleagues in a professional environment.
- Providing opportunities for professional development by building relationships and learning about other parts of the business.
- Providing a presentation to the local management team at the end of the program.
- Gaining experience in planning and organizational skills.
- Assisting with process improvement.
- Managing multiple projects with overlapping tasks and working independently with minimal supervision.
- Providing support and assistance to co-workers as appropriate.

Enrollment in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree related to the internship (required) - Accounting MajorMinimum 3.0 GPA (required)Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred.Familiarity with relevant software and systems.Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a result driven team-oriented environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsDesire to learn about Federal, State and International Taxation
