Job Description :
Trilyon is hiring an ATE Test and Evaluation Engineer to support aerospace production teams by developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated test systems. The ATE Test and Evaluation Engineer will ensure test equipment functionality, integrate third-party hardware, and support calibration and system upgrades. The ATE Test and Evaluation Engineer will collaborate closely with operators, engineers, and software teams to develop and execute test procedures for complex aerospace products. The ATE Test and Evaluation Engineer will also contribute to procedural documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain LabVIEW and NI TestStand applications for production testing of aerospace components.
Manage and troubleshoot National Instruments PXI / PCI hardware , including DAQ cards and chassis.
Integrate third-party hardware with existing test equipment to improve performance.
Provide high-level technical support, troubleshooting, and priority resolution for production line issues ("line-down" situations).
Design and implement automated test system architectures, frameworks, and tools.
Train manufacturing personnel and operators on test system software usage and calibration.
Develop and maintain production databases for long-term efficiency and optimal structure.
Author, review, and maintain procedural documentation for test operators.
Conduct failure analysis, root cause investigation, and implement corrective actions.
Perform testing according to MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275, RTCA / DO-160, and IPC-610 standards .
Required Skills and Qualifications :
10+ years of experience in automated test equipment (ATE) software and hardware development .
Expertise in NI LabVIEW, TestStand, PXI / PCI hardware, and DAQ integration .
Familiarity with aerospace communication protocols : ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, RS-232 / 422 / 485, AFDX, TCP / IP, Ethernet, UDP .
Hands-on experience with test bench equipment : multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, JTAG / ICE probes .
Strong knowledge in avionics production testing, system bring-up, calibration, and troubleshooting .
Experience in software version control, CI / CD pipelines, and aerospace testing documentation .
Ability to read schematics, analyze test failures, and recommend corrective actions.
ITAR compliance required; US Citizenship mandatory.
Preferred Skills :
Experience with Enovia, Doors, MKS, or similar configuration management tools .
Prior experience in embedded microprocessor or FPGA-based test systems .
Knowledge of mixed-signal products, analog circuits, and supporting aerospace hardware .
