Chief Purpose : The Department of Pathology at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time pathologist, open-rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) non-tenure track, in the Division of Clinical Pathology, to perform Hematopathology. The candidate will be responsible for day-to day sign out of Hematopathology cases.
Position Responsibilities
Clinical : This faculty member will participate in a busy hematology laboratory, which includes sections for body fluid analysis, coagulation, and a high-volume bone marrow and lymph node diagnostic service. Responsibilities include clinical sign out in Hematopathology.
Service : Faculty member will be required to actively participate in tumor boards. Participation in departmental and institutional committees is encouraged, when necessary.
Teaching : Faculty member will be required to actively participate in the education of residents and fellows, medical and dental students, and ancillary staff.
Research : Active participation in funded and unfunded research activities is required; the candidate must be able to follow through on research projects.
