Registered Dietitian
Position Summary
The Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutrition care through assessment, care planning, education, and counseling. This role will help establish a new nutrition program and serve multiple clinic locations, supporting patients across all age groups and conditions. The ideal candidate stays current with research to optimize outcomes and address nutrition-related disorders effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Nutrition Care
- Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and CPSP services for pediatric, prenatal, and adult patients.
- Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and document outcomes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Education & Counseling
Provide one-on-one and group nutrition education.Develop educational materials, brochures, and visual aids for patients and staff.Translate medical information into clear, patient-friendly language.Program Development & Leadership
Assist in establishing and maintaining a sustainable clinical nutrition department.Lead, motivate, and mentor team members.Present nutrition-related topics to staff, students, and stakeholders.Adapt services to meet evolving healthcare trends and regulations.Collaboration & Outreach
Work closely with physicians, nurses, health educators, and other clinicians.Serve as the clinic’s nutrition expert and community representative.Participate in outreach activities to promote nutrition services.Administrative & Compliance
Maintain organized records, materials, and reports.Track and report departmental outcomes per regulatory and organizational standards.Support the organization’s mission, values, and quality improvement initiatives.
