I am seeking a seasoned nursing leader to step into a high-impact Director role overseeing Cardiovascular Services and the Cath Lab for a large acute-care environment. This is a key strategic position responsible for advancing the full cardiovascular service line, driving clinical excellence, optimizing operations, and supporting continued growth.

Position Overview
The Director of Cardiovascular Services provides operational and strategic leadership for all components of the cardiovascular service line, including ambulatory, acute, post-acute, and community-based care. This leader is responsible for ensuring high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered services while achieving strong clinical, financial, and regulatory outcomes.
You will partner closely with physicians, APPs, clinical teams, and executive leadership to enhance care delivery, develop new programs, and ensure seamless coordination across the continuum.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall direction and leadership for all Cardiovascular Services, including Cath Lab operations.
Develop, implement, and continuously refine the strategic plan for the cardiovascular service line.
Drive improvements in clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, patient experience, and cost management.
Lead the development, evaluation, and implementation of innovative care models and service enhancements.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards while advancing toward high reliability practices.
Collaborate with service line peers and hospital leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing cardiovascular nursing team, promoting excellence, accountability, and professional growth.
Oversee staff education, competency validation, and adherence to evidence-based practices.
Build and sustain strong relationships with cardiologists, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary partners.
Manage financial performance, including budgeting, productivity, resource allocation, and growth planning.
Maintain consistent, dependable attendance and perform other leadership duties as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Current or eligible West Virginia RN license.
57 years of progressive leadership experience within Cardiovascular Services.
Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and collaborating effectively with physicians and anesthesia providers.
BLS and ACLS required (or obtained within required timeframe).
