Job descriptionCitizenship : U.S. Citizenship required. Non-citizens only considered when recruiting qualified citizens is impossible, per VA Policy. Education : Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine. Licensure : Current, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. Residency : Completion of an accredited residency program in a core specialty. Board Certification : Must be board-certified or board-eligible. Competitive Salary : $320,000-$400,000 per year. Paid Time Off : 50–55 days annually (including annual, sick leave, Federal holidays, and possible CME absence). Malpractice Coverage : Free liability protection with tail coverage. Comprehensive Benefits : Dental, Medical, Life Insurance, Pension, Thrift Savings Plan (401K) with 5% match, Survivor Benefits, and more. Continuing Education : Up to $1,000 or more annually. Loan Forgiveness : Eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. No Strings Attached : No employment contracts, non-compete clauses, restrictive covenants, or notable restrictions on outside work. Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) : Position is EDRP eligible, a student loan payment reimbursement program. Incentives : Recruitment / Relocation Incentive (Sign-on Bonus) may be authorized for highly qualified applicants.

Duties Include :
- Accountability : Reporting to the Chief, Urology Surgery Section, responsible for clinical / surgical care delivery across the medical center while surpassing compliance standards.
- Guidance : Provides leadership to interns, residents / fellows, medical students, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Eligible for a clinical appointment at Wake Forest University.
- Patient Care : Offers compassionate, appropriate, and effective patient care promoting health, preventing illness, treating disease, and providing end-of-life care. Provides training and direction to support staff.
