Pediatrix is seeking a board-certified neonatologist to join our group at Alaska Neonatology Associates, the only neonatology practice in Alaska. Join our team of physicians and NNPs in Anchorage, Alaska!
Highest acuity NICU in the state : 60 beds with private rooms at Providence Alaska Medical Center with 24 / 7 in- house NNP support.
Specialized services for newborn critical care include pediatric subspecialty services, pediatric surgery, high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide and therapeutic hypothermia.
Work as consultants at a local level II unit at Alaska Native Medical Center servicing the Native Alaskan population with unique challenges that come with this population.
Active participation in the Vermont Oxford Quality Collaborative, extensively involved in local / statewide / national quality initiatives, teaching opportunities, clinical research and outreach education .
Strong collaboration with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM).
~ NNPs manage most deliveries and transports while NEOs serve as backup in delivery unit.
~ Experience a diversity of cases, including complicated home births that come into the NICU
~24-hour in-house call, every 3rd day
