Salary Range : $60,000 - $75,000
Join a dynamic and growing manufacturing team as an Assistant Payroll Manager , where you'll play a critical role in managing complex payroll operations in a fast-paced, people-first environment. This role offers hands-on involvement with plant-level employees, process improvement, and payroll accuracy across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and process weekly payroll for multiple facilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Oversee piece-rate payroll calculations , updating daily department and plant sheets, applying correct rates, and rolling data into CSV files for export.
Perform reconciliations and tie-outs between payroll data and reports, ensuring totals align across plants and departments.
Generate and distribute summary and variance reports in Excel for hours worked, overtime, and department-level performance.
Collaborate closely with plant supervisors and workforce teams, maintaining a strong on-floor presence to address payroll inquiries and ensure data accuracy.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
5+ years of payroll experience , ideally within a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
Strong proficiency with ADP and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and CSV file management).
Proven experience with piece-rate payroll systems and weekly processing.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with both plant-level employees and office staff.
