Medical Office Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join a small family-based practice. This role involves a mix of clinical and administrative duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and rooming patients.

Responsibilities :

• Answer phones and manage scheduling of appointments.
• Obtain prior authorizations for procedures and treatments.
• Room patients and manage patient flow.
• Address patient messages promptly and accurately.
• Process medication refills and manage same-day requests.
• Ensure all tasks are completed for a single assigned doctor, handling a patient volume of 15-20.
• Enter patient information and data accurately into the system.

Work Environment :

The position offers a schedule from Monday to Friday between 7 : 45 AM to 6 : 00 PM. The practice is located in Guilford and is characterized by a friendly and easy-going atmosphere. The dress code requires a professional appearance as per policy.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Guilford, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
