NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a detail oriented and certified Construction Inspector to join our Transportation team in Charleston, SC . This role will support South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) projects by performing field inspections, materials testing, and documentation for highway and bridge construction. The ideal candidate will hold a valid SCDOT Concrete Technician Certification and have experience with SCDOT policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct field inspections on transportation infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Perform concrete sampling, testing, and reporting in accordance with SCDOT standards.
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
• Document daily construction activities, discrepancies, and resolutions.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and SCDOT representatives.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to identify potential issues.
• Travel to various project sites within the Charleston region and surrounding SCDOT districts.
