We are seeking a strategic and people-focused Lending Services Manager to lead and support our mortgage and consumer loan processing teams. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, optimizing workflows, and fostering a high-performing team to ensure efficiency, compliance, and exceptional service quality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership , a deep understanding of lending systems, and the ability to motivate and develop a team of loan processing professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, mentor, and develop loan processing and documentation teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance team capabilities and career growth.
- Set clear goals and expectations while monitoring performance metrics to ensure operational success.
Operational Management & Efficiency
Oversee mortgage and consumer loan processing workflows, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with policies and regulations.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance service quality .Troubleshoot issues related to loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass, Abrigo, TruStage) and work with IT or vendors to resolve system-related challenges.Quality Control & Compliance
Conduct regular reviews and audits of loan documentation, underwriting processes, and regulatory requirements to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.Ensure adherence to risk management policies and industry regulations , proactively addressing any compliance gaps.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with other departments, including underwriting, sales, and compliance, to streamline processes and improve overall lending operations.Act as a liaison between leadership and the lending team , providing insights and recommendations to enhance service delivery.Qualifications
5+ years of leadership experience in lending operations or financial services, with a focus on team management.Strong people management skills , with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.Proven ability to manage complex workflows , drive process improvements, and implement best practices in loan processing.Experience working with loan origination systems such as Encompass, Abrigo, and TruStage .Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills .Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).Physical Requirements
