Journeyman

Typically three years and above documented field experience in chosen craft discipline with ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently.

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site. May move materials manually or using a forklift, dolly, wheelbarrow, or a crane operated crane or hoist. Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Track all material for each job.

Responsibilities :

• Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
• Arranges on site transfer of materials and equipment to meet production schedules.
• Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines.
• Completes and maintains manual or computerized records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
• Coordinates and expedites flow of materials between departments and work areas, according to schedules or department priorities.
• Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
• Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to priorities and material availability.
• Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
• May assist with computing amount of material required to complete job tasks.
• Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
