Your Role
As a detail oriented and reliable Quality Assurance Supervisor with us, you are committed to continuous improvement and teamwork as you take on responsibilities for Quality Control and Assurance functions and ensure the crate manufacturing processes and Business and Quality Management System processes, such as receiving inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, first article inspection (FAI), internal auditing, CAPA and feedback to management, are adhered to. You'll also support both our San Jose and Newark sites. You'll report directly to the Quality Manager with a dotted line to the Operations Manager

Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, possible daily and weekend overtime depending on customer needs.

What You'll Be Doing
Improvement Recommendations
- Reviews specifications, standards and / or test plans of customer designs, and reports feedback to management
- Reviews, implements, and follows up with corrective action requests derived from customer complaints, customer returns, and / or actions as assigned
- Reviews, implements, and follows up with corrective / preventive actions and ensures actions are addressed and closed
- Participates in audits to ensure customer, local and company-wide compliance to specified standards
Communication to Production
Provides feedback to management, production and engineering departments, as applicable, regarding any severe risks, non-conformances or continuous improvement opportunities in the manufacturing and supporting processesCollaborates with various departments and processes on workforce development opportunities based on customer feedback, data analysis or as instructed by managementAnalysis and Review
Reviews customer deliverables for accuracy and completeness such as FAIR's, CAR'sInspect product or process with specialized tools. This may include weighing or measuring finished products, assessing moisture content of wood, visually inspecting workmanship and / or gauging product reliabilityUses software / MS tools to track, communicate and improve quality data and assists in delivery of reports to managementWhat We'd Like to See From You
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalentAbility to read blueprintsProven experience in 8D problem solving and Root Cause AnalysisAbility to lead small teams, including supervision, training and evaluating employeesUnderstanding of basic manufacturing processesAbility to communicate in English verbally and in writing. Bilingual Spanish preferred.Proficient (intermediate skills) in the MS Suite (Word, Excel) and ability to learn proprietary softwareAccurately convert decimal to fraction and fraction to decimal, as well as metric to imperialAbility and desire to work in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment.Work and communicate in cross functional teams such as engineering, sales, customer service and productionHighly Desired
1 year of proven ISO 9001 Quality Assurance experience desiredKnowledge of ERP SystemsCertificate in Quality Control, i.e., ASQ, or specialized in-industry trainingInterested But Concerned You're Not Qualified?
