ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour shifts : 0700-1930 or 1900-0730 with 30-minute lunch break

    • \n

  • Every other weekend requirement (Days : Sat / Sun, Nights : Fri / Sat / Sun)

    • \n

  • Holiday coverage required based on unit needs

    • \n

  • Patient ratios of 1 : 5-6 (1 : 4 for COVID patients)

    • \n

  • Must wear royal blue scrubs; scrub jackets must also be royal blue if worn

    • \n

  • BLS (AHA) certification required

    • \n

  • Unexpired driver's license copy required for all submissions

    • \n

  • Care for patients with infectious diseases including COVID, MRSA, C-Diff in isolation precautions

    • \n

  • Strong knowledge of Med-Surg, infectious diseases, and isolation precautions required

    • \n

  • Manage Heparin and typical Med-Surg IV medications and antibiotics

    • \n

  • No cardiac drip titration required

    • \n

  • Remote telemetry monitoring from 3rd floor - RNs do not read or interpret strips

    • \n

  • Float to other Med-Surg units as needed (travelers are first to float)

    • \n

  • Work with 2 CNAs per shift and 24 / 7 charge nurse coverage

    • \n

  • 1 day EPIC orientation plus 1 day floor orientation with preceptor

    • \n

  • Block scheduling available when unit needs are met

    • \n\n

    This medical center features an 18-bed infectious disease unit with all private rooms specifically designed for isolation patients. The facility maintains comprehensive Med-Surg services with 24 / 7 charge nurse coverage and respiratory therapy support for patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen. The organization utilizes EPIC charting systems and provides thorough orientation programs to ensure quality patient care in acute care settings.
