BILLING TRAINER

Job Description

RMA is seeking a Billing Trainer for our Basking Ridge, NJ location.

The Billing Trainer is responsible for overseeing and managing the training of all new and existing employees. This role will encompass the development of a robust training program, which will help new employees to understand and be successful in their roles and responsibilities. Additionally, the continual training of existing employees to communicate changes and to mentor those in need of additional training. This is a leadership position that involves moderate oversight of staff, with no direct reports. This position will function independently with minimal instruction and direction, while leveraging technology.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities

• Design and develop training materials, manuals, and resources tailored to the central billing office's needs while leveraging technology to facilitate the learning process.
• Facilitate engaging and informative training sessions for new hires and existing staff on billing software / portals, coding, payment applications, EOBs, quality assurance reports, closes and other billing functions.
• Utilize data to evaluate knowledge gaps and the training needs of the staff.
• Provide ongoing education and refreshers on billing changes, payor policies, and coding updates.
• Ensure that billing updates are communicated to all.
• Monitor staff performance post-training to assess knowledge retention and application of skills in real-world scenarios.
• Gather feedback from trainees to continuously improve training materials and methods based on staff needs and industry changes.
• Work closely with leadership to align training initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of all training sessions, participant progress and training outcomes.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends, developments, and best practices in billing.
• May need to perform some coordinator functions on a needed basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
