Overview
Our client is seeking a Construction Administrator to support a VA Medical Center internal infrastructure upgrade project . This role serves as the owner’s representative, ensuring compliance, communication, and coordination across all stakeholders. The position requires onsite presence at the medical center with flexible hours and a strong ability to manage documentation and drive project communication.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily site inspections to monitor construction activities, document progress, and identify quality or safety issues.
- Review and monitor project schedules to support phased construction with minimal operational disruption.
- Provide oversight of contractor compliance with project specifications, drawings, and federal regulations.
- Lead design evaluations and recommend technical improvements or resolve issues.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports summarizing work status, milestones, and outstanding issues.
- Utilize digital tools and construction management software to track RFIs, submittals, and material inventory.
- Support contract modifications through cost estimating and scope validation.
- Conduct condition assessments and inspections of clinical and administrative spaces.
- Act as the primary communication liaison between the VA client, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects remain on time and on budget.
- Document all activities and maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in design and construction, preferably in large commercial, medical, government, or VA environments.Proficiency in construction administration , scheduling, and cost control.Excellent communication and documentation skills ; ability to serve as the right-hand person to project leadership.
