JOB SUMMARY

Produces data reports or package of reports utilizing databases data assets applications and more to provide information to business leaders. Reports may be in the form of standardized dashboards or customized views of data upon request. Ensures data pulled is consistent with business needs / requests. Applies knowledge of the business to customize and deliver meaningful information. Reviews information to identify data integrity issues and provides feedback to application / database administrators to ensure any issues are addressed. Answers questions from end-users to provide additional context.

Partner with business technology and operations teams to support Market Risk Management on their data analytic metrics calculation and reporting capabilities / requirements. Understand the regulatory environment specific to its impact to Capital Markets business and Market Risk. Work closely with the business users to identify the appropriate solutions to meet regulatory analytic and management needs. Ability to elicit requirements from the business translate into technical specification ensure a strong interface with technology teams manage testing and remediation efforts. Drive data analytics and reporting focused on regulatory matters operational metrics and productivity metrics. Applies a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data processes / flows and concepts to implement frameworks processes controls models and solutions to ensure data is effectively managed across the organization or within a specific business unit. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of data during the transfer from source systems into business unit data assets. Be able to set the standards / apply data for fit for use when applying data into business decisions. Drives the identification and mitigation of data issues as necessary to support organization priorities. Identifies and champions the implementation of data process and practice improvements. Lead automation for all deliverables with process efficiency and effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications :

1. Bachelors degree and 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Deep specialized and / or broad knowledge within a professional discipline.

3. Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.

4. Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products processes or services.

5. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure.

6. Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical operational and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.

7. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems.

8. Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective (new automation new metrics new tools etc.) Focus on process automation to improve efficiency.

9. Knowledge of the industrys competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry.

Preferred Qualifications :

1. Masters degree or MBA

2. 10 years of related experience

3. Previous experience in Financial Services or Banking industry

4. Experience with Data analysis and sound SQL skills

5. Understanding of Capital markets and Investment banking products

6. Risk management experience focused on Market risk / Counterparty Credit risk

7. Exposure to Data warehousing

8. Data Analytics / Business Intelligence / Reporting tool exposure

9. Front office trading systems exposure (e.g. Calypso WallStreet systems etc.)
