Infant assessment, IV management, Respiratory support management

Description :

This position is in a Level 2 and Level 3 nursery.

The unit has a total of 146 beds, with a mix of Level 2 and Level 3 / 4 care.

The staff consists of charge nurses, nurses based on census and acuity, a clerk, and nurse technicians.

Patient ratios vary based on acuity, ranging from 1 : 1 to 1 : 4.

The unit is equipped with all necessary NICU equipment.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Candidates should possess strong communication skills.

Teamwork and a focus on parent satisfaction and patient safety are essential.

Preferred Qualifications :

Level 4 NICU experience is preferred.

Prior experience with HCA is advantageous.

Typical procedures performed include :

Lumbar punctures, central line placements, circumcisions, and eye exams.

Weekends and on-call requirements include :

A minimum of four weekend shifts and two weekday shifts per four-week schedule, along with holidays as per unit guidelines.

Dress Code :

Scrubs should be royal blue.

Bare below the elbows and no nail polish are required.
