Overview Thalassa Robotics is a venture-backed startup building swarms of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to monitor critical subsea infrastructure in real-time. Our mission is to enable persistent visibility of subsea assets across the globe, from telecom cables to offshore oil & gas platforms. We design our AUV swarms to enable live high-bandwidth data and human-in-the-loop. Operators onshore will view data streams (e.g., HD video, 3D sonar) safely onshore and remotely interface with the swarm dynamically.
Role We are seeking an RF engineer with significant experience working on software defined radios to work on our AUV wireless communications modem team. In this role, you will work on RF hardware, modulation schemes, baseband design, firmware level code, and more. This will be a dynamic seat, and candidates should be comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy & flexibility.
We are a small, focused team looking for mission-driven candidates who are passionate about their work. If you are excited to advance the frontiers of subsea technology, explore uncharted depths, and protect our oceans and the assets within them, we would love to hear from you!
This will be an in-person role in the Bay Area (in our hardware lab space in San Francisco); we can assist with relocation efforts for candidates from other geographies.
