Medical Assistant—Primary Care Associates
Schedule : 40 hours a week, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts. Shifts will be scheduled during clinic hours, 9am to 7pm, 7 days a week.
You will receive a $500.00 SIGNING BONUS after 90 days of full-time employment
Primary Care Associates seeks a highly skilled, dedicated, and professional Medical Assistant to join our rapidly growing and dynamic team. Representative duties
Assists providers with patient care within the care-team modelRooms patients, takes patient vitals, and documents PHIAssists in administrative areas including appointment scheduling and scanningMaintains appointment flow and organizationAnswers patient calls and follows up with patientsPerforms environmental tasks and prepares for next day clinicKnowledge and skill requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional, personable, caring, and able to help patients feel at easeAble to understand medical charts, diagnoses, and coding for billing purposesAble to maintain a calm demeanor when under pressureAble to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a variety of patient care teamsSkill in operating a personal computer using a variety of software applications and EHRRequired qualifications
High school diploma or equivalentPreferred (in addition to required) qualifications
One (1) year of clinical experience - CMA certification OR completion of EMT 2 or EMT 3 certification ORLPN certification plus two (2) years clinical experienceCore Competencies
