JOB SUMMARY

Promotes patient safety and comfort through one-to-one monitoring or continual patient observation and care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Key areas of responsibility

• Provides constant or close observation of the patient(s).
• Maintains clean, safe and orderly environment conducive to patient safety and comfort. Adheres to infection control policy as required.
• Communicates critical patient behaviors and needs to clinical staff and / or nursing staff as necessary.
• Provides patient care to the extent allowed by the individual's clinical training and expertise and / or delegated by a registered nurse.
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications : MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education : Successful completion of HHC orientation

Experience : No experience required, training provided on-site.

Licensure, Certification, Registration : Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Language Skills : Must be able to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information in English.
